We did something that we'd done before...the Fly Over Canada ride. It's just so great and totally fun. And while the pictures that get taken on this ride, or the log flume, or the roller coaster almost never turn out well, we thought this one was pretty good.
We walked down the seawall toward the seaplane terminal and found a nice little bar with a good beer selection and a fabulous view.
Yep. It was a lovely day.
And now for the test. There's a Picasso exhibit in town, and we got to thinking about Picasso and his life and his different styles. He once said that as a child he learned to paint as an adult, and as an adult he learned to paint as a child. So...can you tell which of the following are Picasso masterpieces?
1. First Communion
Painted by: a) Picasso, b) Monet, c) El Grecco, d) JoeBoy
2. Portrait of Gertrude Stein
Painted by: a) Georgia O'Keefe, b) Dali, c) Picasso, d) Judge Judy
3. Old Guitarist
Painted by: a) Bon Jovi, b) Picasso, c) a raisin, d) Bob Dylan
4) Maternity
Painted by: a) George Surrat, b) my mother, c) Picasso, d) Rob Lowe
5. Still Life with Pitcher

You guessed it...they're all Picasso. Kinda crazy how his style and use of color changed over his lifetime. Lovely art in a lovely city.
Tomorrow - Victoria!

Isn't Mark Hassell perpetually stuck in his suck period?
